Dinosaurs are often pictured as wild and scary creatures. Now a prehistoric legendary animal could change such image. The D Rex Interactive Dinosaur is a fun new toy any kid would want to own like a pet. Mattel Entertainment introduces this dinosaur toy that combines robotics and surprisingly, cuddling fun.
He comes in the measurement of 6.5 x 22.5 x 14 inches and weighs 8.5 pounds. To operate him, 5 C batteries are required. A Phillips screwdriver is needed so you could insert the batteries into a slot located in his tail. You could save on the batteries as he has sleep mode. This toy could be enjoyed by children 8 years old and up due to the package containing a small ball. He could be ‘taught’ to become a guard pet or an attack dinosaur.

If this is a must have gift, be sure to order now to avoid disappointment.
The high technology software used to built this dinosaur toy is guaranteed so your kids could train and play with it whenever. His reptilian skin is created much alike to the appearance of such creatures as seen on television, movies and museums. But unexpectedly, his skin is actually soft to the touch. So despite its oversized feet, spiked collar and sharp looking teeth, he would work his way into your and the kids’ hearts.
Another thing about his skin is that it is loosely stretched so he could freely move and take on the commands he is given. He comes with a controller shaped like a bone. Two AAA batteries are required to activate this. This lets your kid train the D Rex Interactive Dinosaur. There are five specific buttons that corresponds to different moves. These are the attack, prank, seek, guard and question modes.

The attack mode enables him to walk forward and even roars while doing so. The second one is what makes him a humorous toy. When pressed, he might fart, burp or roar adoringly. The next one is when he uses up his sound sensor. He would detect the direction of the sounds or noise and walk towards it. However, if there is too much background noise, he might have the difficulty in fulfilling his task. The guard function is much like what its name suggests. He should be set up to guard, for example, a box full of toys. He would scan the room and roar loudly when he senses ‘intruders’. And he shares the dinosaur wisdom with this last mode. Throw him questions and each would be answered with a head nod for “Yes” or a shake for “No.”
In addition, he would prove to be lifelike in terms of his behavior and actions. He ‘thinks’ independently sometimes. This might disappoint the kids when he does not respond to each and every order, like directing him to walk. He would refuse from time to time, which actually makes him more realistic.
With all his abilities and features, D Rex Interactive Dinosaur truly makes a wonderful loyal pet. Surely, the kids would never let him out of their sight.
